3 Ways to Have Serenity in Your Home

December 28th, 2013 • Posted by Lavender Spa • Permalink

It is always a hard transition exiting our warm, peaceful environment to step back out into the world. Whether you get a massage or a facial, the treatment isn't the only element that's calming. The design, layout, color scheme and decorations all play a role as well. If you're trying to find a little more peace in your life, consider making a few décor changes to your home.

Remove the clutter

From unpaid bills to that stack of unread magazines, the clutter only reminds you of things you need to do. Skip the stress by finding a place for everything. Put bills in a file in the office. Your unread magazines can go in your nightstand, so you can read and relax before you fall asleep. Bottom line: everything should have a place. (The kitchen table doesn't count.)

Embrace aromatherapy

You don't have to revert to the 60s to enjoy aromatherapy. We're not talking about patchouli and incense here, just light a scented candle or buy a fruity air freshener. You'll be amazed how a pleasing scent will improve your mood.

Happy reminders

Decorate your home with reminders of happy times. Add a family picture to your desk, or consider hanging a larger collage of family pictures as a centerpiece in your living room. It's personable and serves as an inexpensive piece of hanging art.

Of course, when life gets particularly crazy, you can always head our way to unwind. We have treatments designed to de-stress your body.

Just had absolutely wonderful therapeutic deep tissue massage by Nicole. Would highly recommend her. Have regular deep tissue massages for migraines and she gave me one of the best I've ever had. If I lived here I'd go to her my shoulders & neck were so tight! I feel awesome. Thanks Nicole!!
